My 2nd Month Stats

“author owns the image”

135+ Followers

1850 + Views

710+ Reads

70+ Fans

These are the stats of the 2nd month of taking Medium seriously. I had been writing on Medium since last year. But that was much traffic-oriented.

I did not take it seriously then. But now I am consistently posting on Medium. I got more than 135 followers and 1850 views with 700 reads. It grew pretty insanely.

I did not earn any money from it as I am in a geographical area where the Medium Partner Program is not present. But nevertheless, I am creating for the sake of creation. And will keep on doing this.

What did I learn?

Trust whatever you are writing or creating there are always more people than you can expect writing better than you. To grow as a creator you have to distinguish yourself from others. Find your unique point.

So I create visuals on Twitter and write on Medium. I tried to do both on Medium and it worked. Follow me on Twitter here:

There are some key things that you can do to grow as a beginner:

  1. There is something you can do to gain some early followers. Follow those people who are being recommended to you by Medium. It is sure that they will visit your profile and if you have some stories on your profile. They are very much a chance they will be interested in you and hopefully will follow you.
  2. Early on do submit your stories to a publication. They already have that audience which you want to build. You will get some early exposure.
  3. Yeah, everyone is stressing over consistency. Early on I was a little skeptical. It is the key that I had figured out until now.
  4. Make your stories seriously edited and formatted.
